Roots and Makers Gr. TK - 5
Roots and Makers Gr. TK - 5
In this joyful and creative after-school program, students gather each week to explore hands-on skills that blend art, storytelling, and traditional making. From paper crafts and simple weaving to hand-built clay projects and seasonal creations, The Makers Circle offers a warm space to slow down, make with care, and connect through creativity.
Each session is shaped around a theme—like building, mending, or pattern-making—inviting students to think like artists, problem-solvers, and community members.
Rooted in care, craft, and place, this is a space where young makers learn by doing—and have fun doing it.
Roots and Makers takes place all school year. The Fall trimester runs from the week of September 2 to November 21, on Thursdays from 3:30 to 5:30, and costs $700 per trimester. If you have any questions, please reach out to David Garcia, david@upacademysf.com.
